Why are my entries not saved correctly?
If you cannot see newly added entries after updating and they appear to be missing, rest assured that the data has not been lost. Typically, this issue is related to incorrect rights management or insufficient access permissions rather than actual data loss.
You can verify which entries have been saved in the database using the Server Manager:
Navigate to Databases and select the database in question.
Select the affected database and click on Permissions on the right-hand side.
Select the user or group that is unable to see the entries.
Under the Entries and Folders tab, you will see all folders, subfolders, and entries that have been added to the database and are permanently stored.

Check for errors in Windows Event Viewer
If there was an error during the saving process, it can be found in the Windows Event Viewer:

Right-click on the Windows icon in the lower-left corner.
Click on Event Viewer.
Navigate to Application and Service Logs → Password Depot Server.
Here, all errors related to Password Depot Server will be listed. If no error messages appear, the entries have been saved correctly.
System account permissions & storage location
If error messages related to saving appear in the Event Viewer, check the following:
Ensure the SYSTEM account has full access to the Password Depot Enterprise Server program directory and all subdirectories. This is essential for proper functionality.
If possible, store the databases on a local hard drive rather than on mapped network drives, as network-based storage can sometimes cause access issues.
